Artist's Comments

yeah so this is something i took a little while ago, it really didn't come out the way i liked, but it kind of grew on me after a while, give it a chance, it'll grow on you too.

It was also drawn by the talented Shinojii, check it out here [link]

Hmm...
This picture stumps me, there's something there that I can't quite identify. The color scheme is most definately there-being warm and all. The pose is interesting and breaks up the negative space in the background. Ah, I know now. There's alot of unbroken negative space in the foreground.

I suggest emphasizeing the subject by cropping the picture. How? Well...that's up to the photographer, now isn't it? Computer or scissors can work. If the task were left to me, I'd cut off the bottom portion, until finding those shoes. Or...cutting off the right until reaching the hair, and a little off the left until the background is gone from the left corner. This will make a vertical picture, and maybe a more intersting composition.

This is a very risky procedure. To help plan out, use peices of construction paper to block out parts of the image before cutting it off. After all, you might end up finding something more suitable than my suggestions.

Good Luck.

I've always felt the same way about this one, there was something wrong but i could never quite figure it out, and you have just helped me out. You are absolutely right, there is a lot of empty space in the foreground.

I'll see what I can do. Thanks so much for the crit, it helps.
